Bethany took a deep breath and said softly but firmly, “I have already moved on. He's going to get married, remember?"

With that, she walked ahead, carrying Nola in her arms.

Aimee hurried to catch up with her. “If you've really moved on, why haven't you dated any other man? Don't say it's because you're busy with work. That's just an excuse!"

Bethany rolled her eyes. "If you have so much free time, you should think about yourself first. Your mom told me last time we met that she's very worried because you still don't have a boyfriend."

Hearing this, Aimee chuckled. "I don't care! By the way, if you're free next weekend, come with me on a blind date. I'll show you how charming I can be!"

Bethany raised her eyebrows and asked, “You're going on a blind date?"

“Yes! My cousin set me up with a guy. He's from a wealthy family, and someone I can consider marrying."

"But if you're going on a blind date, what am I supposed to do there? Be the third wheel?"

"You're my best friend. You can check him out for me." After saying that, Aimee took out her phone and showed Bethany a photo of the man.

"What do you think? He's not bad, right?"

Bethany examined the photo carefully.

Although a little on the thinner side, he looked clean-cut, handsome, and gentle.

She smiled and looked at Aimee. “Is this your type?"

“Why? You don't Like him?"

“I'm just worried he might not be able to handle your liveliness well."

"It's just a blind date. We'll get to know each other, and if we're not compatible, we won't see each other again. But you have to come with me, okay? Please!"

Aimee imitated Nola, cutely shaking Bethany's arm.

Nola didn't understand their conversation. She just blinked her big eyes and giggled. “Mommy, I want to go with you! Okay?"

Letting out a sigh, Bethany said, “Let me check if I have any plans next weekend before I confirm."

Jonathan didn't follow Bethany's car. He was afraid she'd notice him.

Now that he knew she was in Westsilver and worked at Goldwald Company, he could easily keep track of her whereabouts.

“Mr. Bates, Ms. Holt is involved in the resort project in Westsilver. I found the project report, and her name is on it!"

After saying this, Brody sent the report to Jonathan.

Sure enough, Bethany's name was listed as the person in charge.
