Chapter: 370
Before she lost consciousness, she thought she heard his voice. She had figured it must have been her imagination.

After all, shouldn't Jonathan be overseas getting married? How could he possibly have saved her here at home?

Yet, something about what Colt said made her heart skip a beat.

A feeling she couldn't quite explain was growing stronger...

"Mr. Flores, did the investment company have any updates today? Did any of them come?"

Colt looked surprised. "No, don't worry! They didn't see this mess, and it definitely won't hinder our project's progress."

Bethany asked, "Are you sure?"

"Absolutely!" If I didn't even keep track of their whereabouts, I wouldn't deserve my position as the project manager." Colt smiled to comfort her, but it caused his wound to pull, making him wince in pain.

Both Ryan and Colt assumed her concern was about the project and reassured her that everything would be fine. Even if the investment company representatives saw the current state, the problem was solved.

They didn't realize Bethany wanted to know if Jonathan came.

But in the end, she refrained from asking because reason told her it was impossible-it was an impractical daydream she entertained when facing danger.

At Dreamer Hotel, Jonathan had finished packing his stuff and was seated on the sofa, briefing Brody about a new project.

Across the video link, Brody watched him with caution. After some hesitation, he couldn't resist asking, "Mr. Bates, do you need to change your flight?"

Jonathan hesitated for a moment, then replied, "No."

“Okay. Should I keep monitoring the situation at the hospital? The doctor mentioned her injuries were quite severe."

“Brody, I merely assisted an employee from one of our partner companies," Jonathan interrupted Brody coldly. His voice remained calm and indifferent.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Bates..." Realizing his mistake, Brody quickly apologized.

Jonathan took a deep breath, and after a long silence, he said, "I have been searching for her for four years. It felt like there was a knot in my heart that just wouldn't untie. I became obsessed, almost mad, with finding any news about her. Now that I have seen her, and she's thriving with a successful career, it's clear I'm the one who hasn't moved on. It's time I did."

He rarely gave such Lengthy explanations or expressed his feelings so openly.

Brody nodded. "I understand, Mr. Bates."

“Arrange for the car to pick me up. I need to go to the airport."

"Understood."

After the video call ended, Jonathan closed his laptop, scanned the room to ensure he hadn't left anything, and then left.

As he reached the hotel's front desk, someone called out from behind.
