Chapter: 408
Undeterred, he ventured into her updates.
They brimmed with promotions for her company's projects, highlighting her relentless dedication to her career. Further down, Jonathan stumbled upon an unexpected image: a child's hand, soft, chubby, adorned with star stickers on the nails, a clear indication it belonged to a girl.
Jonathan pondered over what Brody had mentioned earlier about Aimee's daughter. That child's hand in the picture must belong to her, right?
The bond between Bethany and Aimee was akin to that of sisters, making it natural for Bethany to share photos of Aimee's daughter.
Jonathan became fixated, scrolling through Bethany's updates incessantly. He meticulously examined every company photo, as if scrutinizing each could reveal the details of her life over the past four years.
Bethany seemed occupied with work, as reflected in her sparse posts.
He soon reached the end of her feed, finding little personal information.
Closing the app, Jonathan noticed Bethany had replied.
Her message read, "Okay, I'll do my best to cooperate with you."
Jonathan stared at the text momentarily before calling Brody.
"Can you reach out to the driver I used in Westsilver?"
“I should be able to. I'll find his number and get back to you,"
Brody responded, obediently following Jonathan's directive.
A minute later, Brody called back. “Mr. Bates, I've contacted the driver, but he's no longer in Westsilver. He's moved elsewhere. If you need a driver, I can find someone else for you."
Brody presumed that Jonathan intended to revisit Westsilver.
"I want the driver back in Westsilver in three days, and he should stay put," Jonathan instructed.
"Alright. Should I book a flight for you to Westsilver in three days?"
"No need."
Brody was flabbergasted.
Jonathan continued, "Give me the driver's number. I'll speak to him."
Brody was momentarily taken aback before responding, "Alright, okay."
He couldn't fathom why Jonathan would personally contact a driver from Westsilver. What could Jonathan possibly discuss with him?
Brody sent the number, and Jonathan dialed it immediately.
The driver answered promptly. “Hello!”
