Chapter: 453
“Who can be sure there wasn't something in your wine that shouldn't have been there?" Ryan sneered. “We're both well-experienced in the business world, and we know these tricks. I sent Bethany here because I trusted you. I didn't think you would have ill intentions, but you got her drunk. Now I have to investigate this thoroughly."
Ryan then made to leave.
Wesley quickly stopped him and said, apologetically, “Look, I did everything I could to find her! I swear I didn't harm her. We just had some drinks."
“We'll see what the blood test reveals."
“Ryan, we are all businessmen. We need to work together in the future. Don't be too harsh!" Wesley's expression changed as he narrowed his eyes. “I've already told you, I didn't do anything to her. You need to show some respect."
"How can you expect respect after you've harmed her?"
"She's just a project director!"
Ryan cut him off with a punch before Wesley could finish his sentence.
Wesley stumbled back and hit the wall. “Ryan, you hit me over a woman!"
“As I said, she's my woman. You clearly don't understand," Ryan retorted.
Wesley fell silent for a moment.
"Think we can still work together? You're mistaken. I'm cutting ties with you, and you'll face the consequences!"
Right then, Wesley's secretary burst in, panicked.
“Bad news, Mr. Byrd! Something happened! Our stock is plummeting, and several companies are canceling contracts!"
Wesley turned to look at Ryan.
But Ryan looked just as surprised as him.
Ryan hadn't even taken any action yet. Moreover, he didn't have the means to bring down Owlimited Company on his own.
Owlimited Company was a well-known local company with a long history, handling projects worth tens of millions annually, and its stock market performance had been stable.
But now, it seemed someone was deliberately sabotaging Owlimited Company, effectively throttling its ability to respond or seek assistance.
"Ryan, did you do this?"
"This Looks like karma to me."
Clearly, Ryan wasn't the only one targeting Owlimited Company.
Inside a black Bentley, Jonathan was stern as he delegated tasks.
Since he was in Brokdon temporarily, he had to manage his work remotely.
