“Rowan? That sounds like a girl's name."

Jonathan agreed. He was even more convinced that it was Aimee's daughter.

"You need to reach out for help in searching for the child, but you should keep quiet about this. If you find her, take her to the police station so they can notify the parents."

Brody nodded in response. "Got it."

After that, they exchanged glances and fell silent.

Jonathan had come here for Bethany. Now that she was gone and they knew whose child was lost, what was next?

Finally, Brody spoke up. “It's getting late, Mr. Bates. Should we look for a hotel?"

"Sure." Jonathan nodded, ready to leave the airport with Brody, but then his phone rang.

Jonathan glanced at his phone and noticed a call from Nikolas.

Since that guy was never serious, Jonathan decided not to answer and switched his phone to silent mode.

He didn't pick up his phone again until he found a hotel with Brody, checked into a room, and took a shower.

Jonathan discovered over a dozen missed calls and messages from Nikolas.

“Where on earth are you Jonathan? Please pick up!"

"Dude, your secret son showed up at the office!"

“Now you've got a kid and didn't tell anyone. Just call me back and explain everything to me!"

His secret child?

Jonathan's expression darkened. Irritation bubbled inside him.

He couldn't stand Nikolas’ thoughtless jokes. Bethany was the only woman in his life; the idea of a son was absurd.

As he was about to hang up and focus on his work, Nikolas called again.

Jonathan picked up the phone, his voice tense. "I'm heading to work. Seriously, cut out the jokes."

"I'm serious!" Nikolas' voice boomed, nearly deafening Jonathan.

"Your son is in the company!"

"I don't have a son."

"Seriously? He has to be your son!. Jonathan, you haven't even seen his face. If you had, you wouldn't be saying that," Nikolas insisted.
