Chapter: 543
“What's the matter?" Jayson asked, seeing the concern etched on her face.
"It's Rowan. He's gone off again! Quick, get in touch with Aimee and see if she can locate him."
"Got it!"
Rowan had a clear goal this time. He was unsettled by the lack of flaws he found within Bates Group.
It seemed improbable for a company to be flawless yet so prosperous.
He believed there were hidden problems he hadn't yet uncovered.
To keep his mother from worrying, Rowan made sure to inform her and even left a contact number with Nola, so she could reach him if needed.
Once everything was set, he called Nikolas and waited at the agreed spot until Nikolas’ car pulled up.
Upon seeing Rowan unharmed, Nikolas was washed over with paternal relief and quickly got out of the car to embrace him.
“I've been looking everywhere for you!" Nikolas exclaimed, relief evident in his voice.
He had been haunted by dreams of finding Rowan.
"They hid me in a warehouse out in the suburbs. It's impossible for you to find me," Rowan replied, showing the location on his phone.
"Here?"
"Yeah."
Without wasting a moment, Nikolas called over his assistants. "Check this place out. Get back to me with any updates."
"Yes, Mr. Bennett."
Rowan observed Nikolas barking orders and couldn't help but smile.
“What do you want to know? Just ask me."
“I need to know who abducted you! You can't imagine how desperately I've been searching," Nikolas said, his voice breaking slightly.
“The warehouse is under Kyler Freeman's name, but it seems the real operator might not be him. I caught a phone signal he used nearby and intercepted a number," Rowan detailed.
Nikolas was shocked by what he was hearing.
Could he really be speaking to a mere child?
"Did you intercept the number?"
"Yeah. Waiting for you to rescue me is way too slow." Rowan's tone was calm and direct, as if he were merely commenting on the weather.
