Chapter: 550
Rowan didn't hide anything and nodded. "You deserved it."

“Did your mom say I'm a jerk?" Jonathan tried to learn more about Rowan's mother through him.

But fooling Rowan wasn't simple.

He looked up and smiled at Jonathan.

“Don't treat me like a child! I know what you're thinking, but you don't know what I'm thinking!"

In the spacious living room, the two, nearly identical in appearance, locked eyes, their gazes meeting intensely.

After a tense pause, a slight smile finally crossed Jonathan's handsome face.

“How can I not know? You're here for revenge."

Rowan was left speechless.

"Moving in here is just your way to better collect evidence against me, right?" How could Jonathan be unaware?

Despite his intelligence and cleverness, Rowan remained a child.

Since he insisted on using Nikolas’ computer and willingly came home, his intentions were obvious.

Jonathan couldn't figure out why this kid's mother harbored such a grudge against him.

He had only ever loved Bethany, and he was always careful to avoid any misunderstandings with other women, even at work. How did he end up with someone who despised him this much?

"Yes!" Rowan chose to be straightforward. "I'm here to find your flaws. If you're worried, just throw me out!

That way, he could claim that his father, Jonathan, refused to recognize him and threw him out. That would certainly cause a scandal for Bates Group.

“This is your home; I won't just kick you out." Jonathan wasn't bothered by him. In fact, he thought if Rowan did find any faults, it might even benefit Bates Group.

"Alright! Just don't regret it later." Rowan was ready for whatever the outcome might be.

He decided not to leave until he had avenged his mother and sister.

Jonathan found himself smiling involuntarily and was about to touch his son's hair when his phone rang unexpectedly.

At this late hour, he assumed it might be Brody updating him on work matters.

But to his surprise, it was Nikolas!

What could he want? Probably just checking in on Jonathan's adjustment to life with the new kid.

In an unusually good mood, Jonathan picked up Nikolas’ call.
