Chapter: 620
Bethany's face lit up. "Can you really fix it?"

"That depends on your offer." B7 studied her for a moment, then flashed a smirk. "You're pretty. Are you single?"

"Huh?" Bethany thought she might have heard wrong.

"Never mind." B7 pulled the hoodie over his head, hiding his pale, skinny face, and turned back to his computer. "What do you need this data recovered for?"

Bethany quickly responded, “It holds the truth about my mother's death."

“You should take that to the police then. My services aren't cheap."

“I know you're expensive, but I have the money!" She felt it was too risky to hand this hard drive over to the police.

The Bates family exerted too much power across the country.

If it weren't for the involvement of Jonathan's parents, she might have asked his assistance, but this drive had evidence implicating his family.

“People usually try to bargain with me, but you're the first to brag about your wealth." B7 showed interest, leaning back and looking up at her. "You're Jonathan's woman, right?"

Bethany was left speechless.

"How boring." B7 sneered. "Thirty million. Half now, half when it's done."

Thirty million...

Bethany knew hiring B7 would come at an expensive price, but the amount still surprised her.

Seeing her hesitation, B7 laughed. "Didn't you claim to have money?"

"But not that kind of money."

"So what's your plan? Ask Jonathan for it! His car's still parked outside." B7 had the appearance of a rebellious teenager, with an endless playful smile on his face.

A troublemaker.

Bethany, not used to dealing with such youthful characters, felt out of place standing there.

She didn't want to be mocked, yet her only chance to restore the data lay with him.

“I'm merely an employee of Jonathan's now, nothing more. I can give you 50% upfront and figure out the rest later." Fifteen million was within Bethany's reach.

Over the years, she had managed to save a considerable amount.

However, B7's price was outrageous.

"And if you can't come up with the rest?"
