Chapter: 633
In a panic, Jayson scooped her into his arms to prevent further self-harm.

“Bethany, listen. You need to heal first. I promise I'll take you once you're better. Look at yourself-you're covered in blood. You might not even make it to the hospital without collapsing!"

Bethany's injuries were severe: besides broken legs, she had deep cuts on her arms and back and a serious concussion.

She was unable to stand, let alone leave the hospital.

“I need to go. Please take me..." Tears mingled with the blood on her bandages, each drop blending with the next.

Jayson clenched his fists, a gesture of his internal struggle, then sighed and relented. “Okay, I'll take you. Just please don't cry anymore."

Worried that something might happen to Bethany en route, Jayson spared no expense, hiring two doctors to accompany her.

Since Bethany could not walk, Jayson cradled her in his arms, carrying her down the stairs and into the car.

As they approached Central Hospital, an ominous tension filled the air. The atmosphere seemed charged with an unspoken dread.

The Bates family had even blocked the hospital, and no car was allowed to go in.

“If we had arrived a bit earlier, we might have slipped through unnoticed. But now, the Bates family must have just returned from abroad."

Seeing the roadblock, Jayson glanced back at Bethany in the back seat.

He silently wished she'd leave.

"We've come this far. There has to be a way in."

Taking a deep breath, Jayson parked the car nearby and stepped out to call a friend.

A few minutes later, he was back with a plan.

"Change your clothes. My friend, a doctor at Central Hospital, will sneak you in."

“Okay!" Bethany responded without hesitation, her eyes fixed on the hospital.

She needed to get into Central Hospital because Jonathan was there.

Bethany knew the Bates family would be merciless, but her heart's yearning demanded she get closer to Jonathan.

A few minutes later, Jayson's friend arrived, breathless.

He looked at Bethany and then at Jayson. "I can only get her in by pretending she's a patient."

“Can't you take me too? She can't walk on her own." Jayson couldn't let Bethany face the Bates family alone.

But his friend was helpless. "No, I can't risk it. If I'm caught, I could lose my job."
