Chapter: 657
After all, his head was bandaged.

When the plane finally touched down at the Malmo Airport, the man woke up. He rubbed the sleep off his eyes and started making phone calls.

Aimee was not interested in eavesdropping on his calls. She lowered her head and began packing her belongings, ready to get off the plane.

However, she heard the name "Bethany."

"Bethany is there too? Okay. I see. I'll go straight there. Hasn't Jonathan woken up yet? Let's talk about it when I arrive."

Startled, Aimee looked up in astonishment and caught his gaze.

Their eyes locked for a few seconds. Then, Aimee asked, “You know Bethany?"

The man scrutinized her closely and narrowed his eyes. “Are you Bethany's best friend? What's your name?"

"Aimee!"

“I was right," the man said, then turned to leave.

Aimee quickly grabbed his arm. "You haven't told me who you are!”

He frowned and glanced at her hand. “Stop touching me!"

Aimee let go and looked at him earnestly. “Can you tell me now?"

“You don't know me. There's no reason for you to know my name. Have you ever heard of Nikolas?"

"What?" Aimee uttered, perplexed. At the mention of that name, her memory clicked, and she asked, "You're the one who's obsessed with Maddie, aren't you? You even talked to Bethany and asked her to break up with Jonathan!"

Nikolas bristled at her words. "Who did you call obsessed?"

"You! Are you not? Why else would you interfere with Bethany and Jonathan's marriage? How can you claim you're not obsessed with Maddie!"

Aimee had never met Nikolas in person before, but she had heard plenty about him.

She vividly remembered when Jonathan had a car accident, Nikolas made things difficult for Bethany at the hospital. She could never forget that incident.

What was it he had said again?

Ah, yes! He had claimed that dealing with someone like Bethany didn't even require Maddie to lift a finger.

Aimee still remembered Bethany coming to her, asking if she could stay a few days. Bethany's voice was hoarse, and a red mark marred her cheek.

At the time, Bethany said she fell and accidentally hit her face.

But Aimee didn't believe her words. It took persistent questioning before Bethany finally revealed the truth.
