Chapter: 658
Now, faced with the man who had mistreated her best friend, Aimee was resolute in seeking justice.
"You're insane," Nikolas muttered in a low voice, clearly embarrassed and aware of his wrongdoing. With that, he grabbed his Luggage and hurried away.
He had just been discharged from the hospital and was eager to warn Jonathan about Maddie. But to his dismay, he discovered that Jonathan had already been attacked by Maddie and had barely survived.
Ignoring his own injuries, Nikolas had hastily packed and rushed to Wesden.
Unfortunately for him, he ran into Aimee.
Overwhelmed by guilt of his past actions, he decided the best course of action was to flee as soon as possible.
Aimee followed the directions on her GPS and arrived at the private hospital where Jonathan was recovering.
Like Bethany, she was stopped by security.
"Please let me in. I'm a friend of Jonathan Bates!"
Her relationship with Jonathan was complicated, and "friend" was the simplest term she could muster to explain their connection.
"Sorry, you can't go in."
“Hey...”
Aimee was locked outside and had no idea how to get in. Just then, she noticed a car approaching the hospital entrance. She squinted her eyes to get a closer look and then clenched her teeth in disbelief.
It was Nikolas sitting in the car.
Nikolas noticed Aimee but quickly looked away.
"Please drive faster, thank you!"
They reached the hospital's gate, and Aimee was ready to dash inside before the car even stopped.
Aimee stood at the gate, blocking Nikolas’ car from entering.
"You really can't come in. This area is private. It's illegal to enter like this!" The guards looked helpless.
“Why can he go in and I can't?" Aimee pointed at Nikolas in the car.
"He's on the same side as Maddie, who stabbed Jonathan. Maybe he helped her plan it!"
The security guards were confused and unsure of the situation.
Nikolas, still in his car, heard her accusations.
He quickly got out and rushed to silence Aimee.
