Chapter: 690
Her approach was even better than what Bethany had experienced in regular hospitals.

“Your wounds aren't healing well. There are a few infected areas. Fortunately, your X-rays don't show anything serious. You should try walking around to aid your recovery," Samira advised.

“Okay." Bethany nodded. “Did Jonathan pull his wound earlier?"

“Um... Did he tell you that?"

"No." It was just that Bethany noticed the fresh gauze.

Samira waved her hand dismissively. "Then don't ask me. I know nothing. I'm not allowed to say anything!"

"I won't say anything, I promise. I'm just concerned about his health."

Bethany smiled.

After all, Jonathan had just been through an accident, and the thought of any further complications was unnerving.

“He's in very good physical condition and should recover quickly. You can put your mind at ease. He's not in danger," Samira reassured her.

"That's a relief."

After finally getting the answer she wanted, Bethany turned to Leave but Samira stopped her. "Bethany."

"Yes?"

"I want to ask you a question."

Bethany nodded. "Go ahead."

After a brief hesitation, Samira asked, "Do you love Jonathan?"

Bethany found herself at a loss for words.

"Look. I don't mean to intrude. I just want to know if you deeply love a man who risked his life for you."

Samira had never fallen in love and was curious about these emotions.

Bethany just smiled and said nothing.

She always kept in mind that she eventually had to leave. When the time came, she would have to leave Jonathan's world behind, regardless of her feelings.

“You'll know when you finally meet the one," she finally said after a long silence.

Samira let out a sigh. "To tell you the truth, I think Jonathan loves you more than you love him."

"You're right."
