Chapter: 706
Jonathan's lips curved into a gentle smile. "I didn't sleep."

Bethany's eyes widened in shock.

“You must be hungry. I'll ask someone to bring some food."

Bethany sighed. “Lie down first, then you can take care of me.”

"I have some projects to review. I'll rest after that." Jonathan pointed at the screen filled with dense text.

Bethany knew he must have a backlog of work, but nothing trumped his health.

"How about this? You lie down, and I'll read it to you. Deal?"

Jonathan studied her for a moment before nodding with a contented smile. "Deal."

Gingerly, Bethany helped him back into bed, taking care not to aggravate his wounds.

As she settled in front of the computer, a thought struck her.

“Wait, the contract... Are there any confidential parts I shouldn't see?"

“You can see anything.”

Lately, he had been so sweet. Bethany didn't know why he was Like this. It always took her by surprise.

She cleared her throat, trying to regain her composure. As her eyes scanned the document, surprise colored her voice.

"A new project in Harvein?"

"Yes."

"It must be breathtaking when it snows there in winter!" Though Bethany had seen snow, she had never been to Harvein. She had only seen pictures.

Jonathan's face softened. He reached out, taking her hand in his.

"When the snow falls in Harvein, I'll take you there."

Bethany's heart skipped a beat.

She would leave him in a month; they wouldn't be able to see snow together.

But she forced a bright smile, playing along. “Really? That's wonderful! I'll need to pack some heavy coats."

"Bethany."

“What ?"
