Chapter: 778
The hospital was located near a scenic forest. Drawing in a deep breath, she relished the crisp scent of foliage.

She found a bench and sat down, choosing to stay away from the ward for a bit longer. She needed to give Jonathan some space to cool down, knowing he would bombard her with questions the moment she returned.

She had a one-month agreement with Godfrey, yet only a few days had passed. Her intention was to dedicate the remaining days to Jonathan, setting aside concerns about what lay ahead or the current state of their relationship.

"Bethany?"

Samira, who had just retrieved some medication from the storage room, thought she glimpsed a figure in the distance. Hesitant to assume it was her, she called out as she drew closer.

Bethany glanced over and smiled instinctively. "Samira."

“What brings you here? Shouldn't you be with Jonathan?"

Samira returned the smile, holding a bottle of medication and still clad in her white coat.

"I just needed some fresh air."

"Alright then." Setting the medication on the bench, Samira crouched down in front of Bethany and gently began rolling up her pant leg.

"Since I ran into you, let me take a look at your legs!"

She didn't carry herself with the aloofness of high society. She was solely focused on alleviating Bethany's discomfort, showing neither hesitation nor contempt.

Unlike some renowned doctors who seemed to expect their patients to revolve around their schedules, Samira was different. She attended to her patients with a humility that was rare.

"Is this painful? The bruises haven't cleared up entirely, but they're healing."

"I don't feel pain, but I need to walk slowly," Bethany admitted, recalling how she had almost tripped while running earlier.

Samira nodded, her tone serious. “Be cautious. If your legs don't heal properly, it could affect you for life."

Bethany chuckled. "Got it, I'll be careful."

As Samira stood, backlit by the sun, Bethany mused at her calm and gentle demeanor, imagining her as a nurturing mother someday.

"Samira, do you Like children?"

"What?" Samira was taken aback. "I'm not a pediatrician, so I rarely interact with children. Besides, I'm swamped with work and hardly have time for parties or social events. However, I do appreciate well -mannered kids."

She moved to the other side of the bench and eyed Bethany curiously.

“Why do you suddenly ask?"

“I just think you're patient. You probably get along well with kids."

"Patience is essential in my profession," Samira explained. “When patients are ill or injured, they're likely in a foul mood. If I respond with irritability or impatience, it could sour their mood further, which might lead them to resist treatment."
