Chapter: 780
He believed that hotels were merely for fleeting encounters and not the right place for someone like Aimee.

As they reached the entrance of his upscale villa, Aimee peeked inside, then turned to Nikolas with a puzzled expression.

“Why have you brought me here?" she asked.

She had assumed they would head straight to a hotel or a similar venue.

They were in Odonset's luxurious residential district, and it seemed that this villa was Nikolas' residence.

“Aren't you going to..." She trailed off, her question rendering Nikolas momentarily speechless.

He unlocked the door with his fingerprint and moved aside, simply inviting her in. "Come in."

Aimee hesitated briefly before stepping inside. The interior of the villa was opulent, reminiscent of a hotel lobby. Expensive marble adorned the floors and the furnishings were evidently high-end. A grand crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a brilliant glow around the room.

Nikolas’ taste was extravagant, much like his personality-bold and flamboyant.

Aimee suspected that many women had been brought here before.

This setting not only allowed Nikolas to flaunt his wealth but also persuaded women that they could have a permanent place in his luxurious life if they impressed him. Furthermore, the villa was equipped with all the conveniences and amenities, making any hotel visit unnecessary.

"Come in."

Nikolas noticed that she hesitated at the doorway and went to fetch a pair of Chanel women's slippers.

Aimee recognized the brand despite her modest background.

"No, I'll just stay barefoot." She felt she didn't deserve slippers worth a fortune.

“They're new. My mother bought them but never wore them." Nikolas tried to reassure her as he caught the wary look in her eyes, his smile gentle. “Don't worry. You are the first one I take home."

Aimee rolled her eyes, unimpressed. “How many times have you used that line?"

“What do you mean?"

"You are the first one I take home." Aimee shrugged. "I bet you say that to every girl who comes here, right?"

Nikolas frowned and replied, "This is my home. Why would I bring any woman here? My parents stay here from time to time!"

He usually met women at hotels.

“Well, then you just brought me here, didn't you?" Aimee challenged.

“Forget it. It's none of my business." Aimee waved dismissively, no longer interested in his excuses. “Which room are we going to?"

Her impatience growing, Aimee pressed him, “Come on, I'm really pressed for time. My parents are going to call me soon."
