Chapter: 814
Nikolas was desperate for a solution, unashamed to seek advice.

After a pause, Jonathan admitted, "She doesn't love me, Nikolas. She likes me, that's all."

"You have two kids!" Nikolas exclaimed.

“Bethany plans to leave me after I recover." Jonathan secretly wished he were oblivious to Bethany's intentions. That way, he wouldn't have to feel anxious during his recovery.

“Well... Since things have reached this stage, you should go all in-force her into marrying you and keep her by your side. Who else can prevent you from doing what you want now? From the start, you've been too considerate of Bethany's feelings!"

"Can you force Aimee to stay with you?"

Nikolas found himself at a loss for words.

"Uh... That's different. She has no feelings for me whatsoever. She put on makeup and bought new clothes so that she could go on a blind date."

The thought made him angry!

Jonathan took a deep breath and instructed, “You can head to the office now. Call me if you need anything."

"Okay!"

“Also, Bethany and I will be back from overseas next week to pick up the kids."

Nikolas was taken aback. "Pick them up from Aimee's place?"

"Yes."

"Then I'll come with you!" he blurted out immediately. "I was thinking of Rowan, not Aimee! She said she needed time to think things over, and until she decides, I won't reach out to her again."

Jonathan chose not to challenge a man's pride, simply agreed, and ended the call.

Nikolas pulled out his phone and checked the date.

One week. Could Aimee sort her feelings by then?

As time passed, Bethany realized she could no longer avoid telling Aimee the truth.

After much hesitation, she finally called Aimee.

"I'm coming back with Jonathan."

“What? Didn't you say you were staying in Wesden until he recovers?"

Aimee was thrilled to hear her best friend was returning. "Which day? Jayson and I will come get you at the airport. Wait! Jayson can't make it. I'll come alone!"

Bethany paused briefly, then said, “Jonathan is planning to bring Nola and Rowan to Wesden. Once he's better, the kids will stay with him."
