Chapter: 880
Aimee realized that Nikolas had a knack for sophistry.
Occasionally, he would say something sweet.
Nikolas opened the trunk of his car, which was filled with gifts for Aimee's parents.
She leaned over to take a look, then was left speechless. The skincare products and fine wine were reasonable enough, but who brought gold ornaments to meet their girlfriend's parents for the first time?
"You will scare my parents."
Not just her parents; anyone seeing this might think she was involved with a wealthy older man or something equally scandalous.
"Then tell me, what should I get them? I'll buy it right now."
Nikolas was clueless in this area. He usually didn't need to give gifts. Bates Group was his friend's, so he had free rein there.
This was his first time meeting a girlfriend's parents. None of his previous relationships had progressed this far.
“No, thanks. My parents aren't home right now. I think they've gone to visit Zeke. When they return, let's have dinner together. It's on you."
Subconsciously, Aimee didn't want Nikolas to see her home.
Her place was much humbler compared to Nikolas' villa.
Though she knew he didn't mind and was aware of her family situation, she didn't want her parents to feel inferior.
Seeing that she was giving him a chance, Nikolas happily nodded.
"Okay. I'll let my parents know. Whenever you're ready for our families to meet, they'll cooperate."
Aimee nodded and sighed inwardly. "Your parents are really nice. I can tell they love each other a lot."
Nikolas opened the door for her and returned to the driver's seat once she was inside.
“My father has a bad temper, but he rarely gets angry with my mom. He's just strict with me." He narrowed his eyes and smiled before pulling Aimee close and kissing her.
Caught off guard by the sudden kiss, Aimee instinctively struggled before remembering he was her boyfriend now.
He didn't let go, instead deepening the kiss passionately.
After the kiss, Aimee's cheeks turned pink.
"I didn't expect you to get shy," he said in a husky voice.
“Aren't you taking me shopping? If not, I'll go home."
"Don't. Why are you getting upset?"
