Chapter: 883
With a deliberate intensity, Nikolas responded, “Would you be happier if I were with another woman?"
Aimee bit down hard on Nikolas' chest muscles in frustration.
The more she bit, the more forcefully he pressed back, turning a moment meant to be intimate into a full-on wrestling match.
Eventually, Aimee had to admit she was running out of energy. She admitted defeat, whispering for him to finish quickly.
If they continued Like this, her parents would return any minute.
After some time, the chaos gave way to calm, with only their alternating breaths filling the air.
Nikolas slowly got over the overwhelming experience, reaching for a cigarette, then remembered he was at Aimee's place.
“Do you need a cigarette?" she asked.
With a smile, he replied, "I won't smoke. If it bothers you, I can quit."
"It doesn't bother me at all." Turning her back, Aimee started to grab her clothes, her arms shaking as she did so.
Right when Nikolas opened his mouth to talk, he started sneezing repeatedly.
Handing him a tissue, her brow slightly creased, she asked, "Did you catch a cold?"
"That might be." Nikolas wiped his nose with the tissue, then headed back to the bathroom for a hot shower.
"Why don't we skip shopping today? I'll check when my parents will be back, then maybe we can go out for dinner."
In reality, Aimee hadn't planned for things to escalate so quickly, especially since they hardly knew each other. Yet, Nikolas had been pressing her, and she had already caused some tension by preventing their parents from meeting. If she now refused to let him meet her parents, it might seem like she wasn't being genuine.
Moreover, her parents were always wary about Nikolas’ background but never voiced their concerns, choosing instead to stay cautious. After a meeting, their doubts could be alleviated. In the future, when Aimee and Nikolas meet or go on dates, they wouldn't need to hide anymore.
Most importantly, she wouldn't need to worry about the pressure of finding a boyfriend or dealing with arranged dates.
"Whatever you decide is fine by me." Nikolas was so elated he would agree to anything Aimee suggested, even if it was about planning their wedding immediately.
With a resigned sigh, Aimee picked up her phone.
Just as she dialed the number, she heard a noise outside the door.
The phone rang.
Oh no!
Her parents were back already!
Aimee went completely still, her phone almost slipping from her shaking hands.
