Chapter: 900
Meeting Amy today felt Like the worst stroke of Luck.
Aimee remained silent after listening to Nikolas’ explanation.
This silence left him even more unsettled.
“I was wrong. I'll never go back there again. Can you trust me? Please, Aimee, say something."
Aimee turned to face him, her expression unreadable. "I don't know what to say."
Nikolas paused before he said, "If it keeps us together, you can hit me, yell at me. Maybe a few more slaps will help me remember."
"I'm just not feeling great." Aimee sighed, resting her head against the window. "But I don't feel right getting angry with you. I checked the time of the transaction. Although it happened after we slept together, you weren't my boyfriend then. It's normal for you to meet other women."
This seemed typical for Nikolas' Lifestyle.
But admitting she was fully okay with it would be a lie; she wasn't that broad-minded.
Nikolas fell silent for a moment.
"Can you understand?" she asked.
"Yes." Nikolas tensed. "But I really didn't touch her."
Aimee shook her head. "It doesn't matter. You don't need to keep explaining. I just haven't gotten used to being a_playboy's girlfriend. The odds of bumping into your exes in Odonset are pretty high. I might as well start adjusting now."
Aimee was keenly aware of Nikolas' notoriety as a playboy, but actually meeting his ex-girlfriends was almost too much to bear.
Just knowing that he had slept with so many other girls was painful.
She hadn't fully come to terms with it yet, and wasn't sure if she ever would.
"Alright, I'll post a picture of us on my Instagram," Nikolas declared with a determined glint in his eyes. "I want everyone to know that you're my girlfriend."
"No, Nikolas. I'm exhausted. Please, just drive me home. I want to get some shut-eye."
Nikolas' eyes widened with a hint of desperation. "Please, Aimee, don't go home. Stay with me. I promise I won't try anything. I just want you to rest peacefully."
He feared that if they parted ways know, she'd reconsider their relationship and leave him, rendering all his efforts over the past days worthless.
Seeing the desperation in his eyes, Aimee smiled helplessly. "What're you so afraid of? If I didn't want to be with you, I would've broken up with you already."
Nikolas didn't respond.
"You have your ex-girlfriends, and I have my ex-boyfriends. There's no point in worrying about that. My cousin's scolding just put me in a bad mood, that's all. That's why I'm upset."
Nikolas still seemed unconvinced. After all, women could be a lot more unpredictable than men.
