Chapter: 904
“Let me assist you, or you might fall.”

The cemetery was on a steep hill, and the exit path sloped downward.

Bethany initially refused help, waving him off, but she twisted her ankle after a few more steps.

“How about I give you a piggyback ride?"

“No, no." Bethany shook her head, but to prevent a fall, she reluctantly placed her hand on Jayson's arm.

Along the way, several acquaintances greeted Jayson.

"Do you know everyone here?" Bethany inquired.

"Yes, I visit often. If it rained too hard and I was stuck, they'd let me stay in the office until it cleared. That's how I got to know them."

Bethany remained quiet.

"Now they're familiar with Marie and look out for her grave. If I can't make it, they even clean the tombstone for me. They're really kind-hearted."

Bethany glanced at Jayson and smiled. “My mother would be so pleased to hear that. She always liked everything to be clean. I remember in the hospital, she would often ask for a shower. Since it was difficult to shower daily, she would just wipe herself down, sometimes spending the entire day doing so."

"Yes, I noticed she liked to stay clean. When I saw her at Central Hospital, she always had a towel in her hand."

“Thank you for looking after her for so long."

"You're welcome! I'll accept your thanks. Otherwise, you'll just keep saying it!"

Bethany sighed. She thought that maybe because Jayson was used to dealing with children, he treated her like a child too.

As they neared the roadside, Bethany scanned the parking lot for her car.

ALL of a sudden, she noticed a black Maybach speeding away from the cemetery.

It moved so quickly that she couldn't make out the license plate.

But the Maybach was the type of car Jonathan frequently used.

Had he been here?

“What are you staring at?" Jayson asked.

"Nothing! I've visited my mom. Now I'm ready to pack and head to Wesden with Jonathan."

Jayson's expression showed clear surprise upon hearing Bethany's words. After a moment, he nodded and said, “Alright. I'll make sure to keep you updated if B7 has any development. Don't worry about the balance payment. I've already taken care of it."

Bethany replied, "Then I'll head out now."
