Jonathan had left her surprised. He really didn't seem to care about ruining his dignified image.

In the meeting room of Bates Group, all the managers and shareholders remained silent, not wanting to interrupt their president's flirty phone call.

After Jonathan hung up, Brody coughed and said, “Mr. Bates, Team Four is next to report."

“Okay." Jonathan nodded and leaned back slightly. His handsome face resumed its usual cold and serious expression. "Let's begin."

After washing up, Bethany changed into light-colored clothes so that she wouldn't stand out when she returned to the company.

She wanted to keep a low profile.

She had just grabbed her car keys and headed out when she received a call from Aimee.

"Hi, Aimee. What's up?"

"Nikolas wants to have a meal with you before you leave for Wesden. We didn't make it the last two times. This time, it will be just the four of us, no kids. I want to talk to you."

Bethany checked her watch and said, “I'm on my way to Bates Group now. Jonathan's meeting isn't over yet. I'll ask him about it when he's done. I don't know if he already has other plans."

“Alright, let me know." With a chuckle, Aimee added, "Nikolas is also at the company right now."

"Really? Is he in the meeting too?"

"Yeah. He was called in early this morning."

When Bethany heard that, the corner of her mouth twitched.

So when she called Jonathan earlier, Nikolas had been there as well.

The thought made her scalp tingle.

When she arrived at Bates Group, she was stopped by the security guard since she wasn't driving Jonathan's car. It was only after confirming that she was the project director that the guard allowed her entry.

Since it was office hours, the underground parking lot was packed.

Bethany scanned the area but couldn't find an available spot.

After a moment's thought, she decided to park in the CEO's designated parking space.

It was the most spacious spot, and it would allow her to access the CEO's exclusive elevator after getting out of the car.

There was no one else around at the moment, so she felt free to park there without worrying about being seen.

After heading upstairs, Bethany made a beeline for the CEO's office and entered the passcode.

As soon as she stepped inside, she received a message from Jonathan.
