Chapter: 951
Thus, Aimee decided it was time to move on from past worries.
Holding on to them would only bring her unhappiness.
“Am I that captivating?" Nikolas caught her gaze and moved his handsome face closer. "Here, have a closer look!"
"Come on." Aimee chuckled and hit him playfully. “Let's head home."
Nikolas made a confirming gesture and pressed the car key.
As Aimee opened the passenger door and sat down, she noticed Nikolas ex-girlfriend hurrying out of the restaurant from the corner of her eye.
Aimee doubted that Nikolas hadn't noticed the woman, but he simply started the car and drove off.
He did so without a second thought.
Aimee felt that Nikolas could be quite cold-hearted.
Noticing Aimee's silent sigh, Nikolas instantly grew anxious.
He recalled the moment back at the restaurant when Aimee mentioned needing the restroom, and his ex-girlfriend also excused herself and left.
Did they meet?
"Well..." Nikolas licked his lips. "When you went to the restroom earlier..."
"I ran into your ex-girlfriend," Aimee answered him.
He had suspected as much!
Darn it! They shouldn't have come!
"She claimed you two had been together for three years. Is that true?"
Aimee recalled how confidently the woman had declared that.
"Don't believe her! We only dated for a few months. She's my friend's cousin. It's bound to happen that we saw each other after breaking up. Yet, she still introduced herself as my girlfriend. There was not much I could do about that!"
Aimee pursed her lips. "No. Don't skip the details.”
“What details are you asking about?"
Aimee leaned back in her seat and smirked. "Let me take a guess. You ended up sleeping with her again after you two split, didn't you? You didn't avoid her as you claimed you did."
Nikolas thought it was unfortunate that Aimee wasn't a detective.
"Did she tell you that?"
