Again… Always my weakness…

“Ryan…” Alice’s warning to my brother warmed my heart and I gave her a small smile because she knew my brother’s words hurt me.

“How long have I been here?” I asked weakly and wanted to talk about something other than my weakness.

Alice grasped my hand in understanding and support “almost 5 days” she said.

“WHAT?!”

She nodded “The King doesn’t let anyone in to visit you, just today he let me and that’s when I saw you open your eyes”

So the dream was….

‘Shuuussshhh…. Shuuussshhh…. It’s just a dream… Shuuussshhh…. I’m here’

“Wolfbane and silver?” my voice sounded ho**se and it still hurt to speak.

I slowly cleared my throat and the doctor smiled in understanding.

“Don’t talk too much, you’re very dehydrated and your energy is also drained, so you’ll be very weak” he explained quietly.

No wonder my family said that I could die due to the high levels of wolfsbane and silver in the food I drank in the juice, but due to my more human-dominated self, I was able to survive, let’s call it irony that it was my wolfless self that helped me.

“This is my first time helping someone without a wolf, there is one inside, but it’s not dominant yet” The doctor’s words caught my attention.

I raised an eyebrow “Yet?! You mean my wolf is there?” I asked quickly with curiosity and it hurt my throat.

He smiled and nodded “She seems to still be asleep, because if you’re only human, eating the wolfbane and silver would have no effect at all, but you’re still affected, that means your wolf in there” He explained and I was surprised, for the first time someone had told me that my wolf was present.

I don’t know how to react, but I’m very happy to hear it.

“Can I hold your hand to check your pulse and whether you have a fever or not?” I frowned in confusion then understood that he really needed permission so that the guards, Alexa and El wouldn’t kill him for being rude to me and holding me without prior information.

I nodded and raised my left hand.

But then, I just realized his gaze locked to someone behind me.

I looked back and was surprised to see the Alpha king standing there.

Since when has he been there? I exclaimed to myself.
