Chapter: 584
Alicia paused for a moment before nodding in understanding.
Since launching her gallery, she had developed a composed exterior, adeptly managing both minor and major issues, which made it difficult for others to gauge her true feelings.
Gerry raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Are you not upset with him?"
After all, Caden was not only late but had also left early, which could be considered quite discourteous.
Alicia shook her head, a hint of professionalism in her tone. “I will return to work now. Please, enjoy yourself, Mr. Hopkins."
Gerry stood in stunned silence.
Her generosity was striking.
Was this what they called love?
As Alicia turned to walk away, she realized the bouquet of roses had vanished from the gift table. She scanned the room but found no trace of them. Instead, her gaze landed on a server who looked visibly uneasy.
Alicia walked over to him.
The server quickly exclaimed, "Ms. Bennett, I swear I did not throw away the flowers!"
Alicia blinked in surprise.
She had not even inquired yet.
Noticing his slip, the server's face turned crimson, and he fell silent.
Alicia had no intention of blaming him. Instead, she asked, “Who told you to do that?"
The server, not wanting to fabricate a story, admitted, "It was Mr. Ward. He mentioned a guest had a pollen allergy and asked me to dispose of the flowers."
Alicia was left momentarily stunned.
"Allergic, my foot. Caden really is a petty man," she thought to herself.
Yolanda sought Dorian's advice before finalizing the initial program.
She carefully inserted the chip into the robot's body, input the necessary code, and restarted it.
The humanoid robot sprang to life.
As she observed the female robot standing before her, a smile of satisfaction broke across Yolanda's face.
She wanted to command the robot to test her capabilities but remembered that Caden was on his way, so she held back.
Yolanda wanted Caden to experience Lina first.
Soon after, Caden arrived.
Yolanda ran to greet him, her excitement palpable. “Caden! You're here! Come, take a look."
Caden's gaze fell upon the robot named Lina.
He was familiar with her, having built her himself.
But now, she had changed.
The once mechanical eyes now sparkled with warmth, almost resembling human pupils.
