Chapter: 738
Jerald's body was too weak to handle any more suffering.
When he realized he had been taking fake medicine, a sharp headache hit him. Fear consumed him, and he became powerless.
He lay on the ground, looking as though he were kneeling to Caden.
“Caden... Please, give me the pills..."
Caden didn't seem fazed by the pleas.
Jerald's face turned a dark shade of purple as he clutched his chest and trembled.
Through clenched teeth, he spat out angrily, "You brat! I said, give me the fucking pills! Didn't you fucking hear me?!"
Caden kicked him aside, rubbing the dirt from his shoe across Jerald's face.
"Take it easy, old man. This won't be enough to kill you," he remarked.
Something of this level would be far too easy for Jared.
Living in pain was the only fate this wretched bastard deserved.
The wind whipped through the air, taking away the last bit of warmth with it.
With that, Caden turned on his heel and walked away.
Feeling desperate, Jerald howled, “Caden, you bastard!"
Realizing that threats were useless, fear overtook him. He finally gave in and began crawling forward, inch by inch.
"Caden, my dear son. Please... Just give me the pills. You have to save me. I'm still your father! I'm begging you... Please..."
No matter how much he pleaded, Caden didn't look back.
A group of bodyguards stepped in, grabbed Jerald without hesitation, and threw him onto the pavement Like discarded trash.
Caden walked off slowly, his figure growing smaller until it vanished beyond the gate.
Jerald refused to give in. He wouldn't die here; not like this.
Even with his body battered and weak, he forced himself to crawl, dragging his legs toward the road.
He had to catch a cab and get to the hospital.
If he could just reach a doctor, he would find a way to survive. His money could buy anything, including his life.
But the pain warped his vision, twisting reality into something unreal.
He mistook the busy street for an empty stretch of safety.
Without hesitation, he staggered forward.
A speeding car tore through the air and hit him with a sickening thud, the sound of metal and flesh colliding. His body was sent hurtling through the air like a ragdoll.
The accident happened close by, and word of it reached Caden quickly.
Without a flicker of emotion, he asked, "Is he dead?"
“Probably not. The ambulance took him to the hospital," someone answered.
