Chapter: 737
Jerald gasped for air.

With nothing left to lose, he said, "She wouldn't accept Shelia and didn't want Joshua to recognize his origins. She left me no choice!"

Caden pressed his lips tightly together.

Memories of his mother dying on the operating table flooded back, the pain excruciating, as if his heart was being ripped apart.

Jerald grew agitated, causing a relapse of an old ailment.

He struggled to catch his breath.

He fumbled for his medication, swallowing several pills.

Yet the pain lingered. Leaning on his cane, he moved toward Caden but stumbled and fell to his knees.

Struggling to get up, his body refused to cooperate. He then Looked up at Caden with defiance. “Even if you despise me, my blood is in your veins. To hate me is to hate yourself! Fix the crisis in my company now, and release Shelia. I need her service!"

No household help satisfied him as Shelia did.

He wanted only her.

Caden gazed at him.

Caden's eyes were filled with an icy, piercing coldness.

“Jerald, your days are over."

Jerald threatened, "If you don't help me, don't expect to succeed in Warrington. I'll use all my connections against you!"

Caden scoffed, disdain clear in his voice, “You're struggling to speak, and yet you think you can bring me down?"

He stepped on the medicine bottle.

“Ever wondered why your medication isn't working?"

Jerald was stunned, unable to comprehend what he had just heard.

He asked in a shaky voice, "What do you mean?"

Caden replied, "The medication Joshua provided for you is fake."

Jerald was in disbelief.

He attempted to reach for the bottle.

However, Caden stepped on his hand.

Jerald yelped in pain and clung desperately to Caden's pant leg.

"Caden!"

He suddenly recalled that after his hospital discharge, he had been on medication for a while and had nearly recovered.

Once Joshua took charge of his medication, his health started to worsen.

Breaking into a cold sweat, his voice quivering, he said, "Caden, the pills you have are authentic, right? They must be! Give me the real pills now!"

Caden looked down at Jerald with a sneer. "I gave you a chance before, but you took it for granted."
