Chapter: 756
Even Blake, being a distant relative, displayed remarkable qualities.

Seeing the liveliness in her expression made Blake unable to contain his smile.

He found himself eagerly anticipating what would come next. "I'll be looking forward to some good news then, Ms. Bennett," he said with a sense of excitement.

Blake stood at the entrance of the restaurant, his eyes fixed on Alicia as she drove off alone, her taillights fading into the distance.

Despite Gerry's promise not to meddle, he was resolute in his decision to safeguard Caden's happiness. Caden was his close friend, after all. From behind the glass door, Gerry sneaked a few quick glances, his focus unwavering.

Once Blake could no longer see Alicia's car, he turned back and immediately noticed Gerry standing there.

Gerry quickly Looked down, pretending to busy himself with his phone, tapping at the screen.

Right then, a message from Caden appeared.

"Have you made it back yet?" Caden's text read.

Gerry typed back, “Nope, just finished eating.”

Caden messaged back, "You remember that novel you've been wanting? I've got my hands on it."

Gerry's excitement shot up. "That fast? You're a lifesaver!"

Caden's response was sharp. “Cut the sweet talk. Do you want it or not?"

“What do you think? Of course, I do!" Gerry typed with enthusiasm.

“Well, you can have it, depending on how I feel about it," Caden teased.

Gerry was at a loss for words.

Given how close they were, he knew Caden all too well.

Caden's unexpected bout of mischief was clearly a scheme to wrangle something out of him.

Gerry snorted in disbelief. He responded, "They didn't do anything out of the ordinary. After dinner, they each went their own way."

“Got it. Swing by tomorrow to pick up the contract," Caden replied.

Gerry was so annoyed by Caden's attitude that he let out a frustrated laugh.

After a few beats, Gerry sent another message.

“You're more twisted than I thought, Caden."

The following morning, Caden received an urgent call from Joy Mansion, pressing him to return as soon as possible.

As soon as he stepped inside the mansion, the sound of laughter reached his ears.

Ciara, who had just learned of the strange coincidence, laughed heartily. "What are the odds? It's like something straight out of a novel!"

Blake chimed in, "When I first met Ms. Bennett, I had this odd feeling that we were somehow connected. Looks like my instincts were spot on."

Ciara's laughter faded, her expression growing more serious.

Blake pressed on, “Ciara, don't you think this could be a sign?"

With an even tone, Ciara replied, “Blake, you're reading too much into it. I'm sure it's nothing more than a coincidence."
