At that moment, Caden walked in, his face hard as stone.

“With all this laughing going on, I was beginning to think I'd walked into the wrong house." His cold gaze settled on Blake. "Am I interrupting something?"

Ciara was left speechless.

"Caden, you little troublemaker! Why did you come back so late? Blake's making a move on Alicia!" she thought.

Blake, in high spirits, completely disregarded Caden's sarcasm.

Caden's eyes scanned the room, taking in the scene.

He didn't see Alicia anywhere in sight.

However, he felt no disappointment. After all, why would she return with Blake?

Blake stood up, keeping his demeanor courteous. “Caden, I'm here to pick up Ray. I apologize for any trouble he may have caused."

Caden was straightforward in his reply.

“He was quite a handful, always expecting everything to be handed to him like a spoiled child."

Blake didn't dispute this.

Ray was indeed a difficult one, which was why he had rushed over to get him.

Yet, Ray refused to budge.

He was sulking and genuinely enjoying his time at Joy Mansion.

Blake tried various approaches to persuade him to leave, but all his efforts fell flat. Finally, he crouched down and asked, "Do you want to see Alicia?"

Ray's eyelashes fluttered at the mention of her name.

Blake pressed on, “Alicia saved you. I'm immensely grateful to her, and I'd like to take her out for a meal. Will you come with me?"

Ray felt wronged.

"Why did you leave me behind?" he asked, tears brimming in his eyes.

Blake's heart sank at his words. "It was my mistake."

His voice soft and gentle as he asked, "Will you find it in your heart to forgive me?"

Ray, his breaths coming in heavy sobs, wiped his tears away and turned his face away. “I don't want to leave. I want to stay here with Ciara. I don't want to go with you!"

Blake continued to patiently coax him for a while longer.

Caden grew impatient and decided to turn and leave.

But Ciara stepped in front of him, blocking his way.

“Where do you think you're going?" she asked in a low voice. “You should learn from him. Look at how he's coaxing Ray."

The corners of Caden's Lips twitched in amusement.

"That's his brother. Isn't that how you coax children?" he replied.

"Can you coax Alicia like that?" Ciara challenged, raising an eyebrow.
