Chapter: 758
He fell silent for a moment, then replied, “I have my own way. There's no need for you to worry about it.”
Ciara sighed and said, "With such a strong rival, don't you feel any sense of urgency?”
Caden chuckled lightly. "Alicia isn't fond of the hypocritical type.”
Ciara's tone turned sarcastic as she retorted, “Right, she prefers those who are stubbornly aloof."
Caden was left speechless.
“Whose grandmother are you, really?" he thought to himself.
Ciara, having observed everything, understood that Blake was no ordinary character.
“Let me tell you something: anyone associated with the Ward family should never be underestimated. Stay vigilant," she warned.
After Ciara left, Caden remained standing in silence, deep in thought.
Blake closed the door behind him and approached Caden, his expression filled with regret. "Caden, Ray doesn't want to leave, and since I plan to stay in Warrington for a while, would it be alright if he stayed here temporarily?"
Caden wasn't one to make a fuss over such things.
"Alright."
Blake's face lit up with a warm smile. "Thank you."
Caden shot back, "That's a bit hypocritical even for you. There's no one else around; you don't need to put on an act."
Blake remained unbothered by the remark. "I genuinely appreciate it. Even if you're grumpy and pretentious, I owe you one."
Caden replied in a flat tone, “If you really mean it, then stay away from my woman."
Blake raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
“What's the matter? Are you worried that I might beat you?"
Caden let out a derisive scoff.
“What do you think you have that could possibly compete with me?"
Blake was fully conscious of the limitations he faced.
He never had any intention of competing with Caden for Alicia's affection. Regardless of whether Alicia harbored feelings for Caden, he understood that he simply did not possess the ability to surpass Caden and capture her heart.
Yet, speaking from a man's perspective, Blake remarked, "Alicia is truly a wonderful woman. If you genuinely care for her, please do not put each other through unnecessary torment."
Caden remained silent.
Blake's words struck a nerve and stirred irritation within him.
He replied, "What unfolds between Alicia and me is not your concern to interfere with."
Blake let out a sigh, accepting the reality of the situation.
This was Joy Mansion, the domain of Caden, and he had no desire to stir up any conflict.
He decided to end the conversation and took his leave.
As he became more familiar with Joy Mansion, Ray began to engage more frequently with Ciara.
