Chapter: 760
Caden, unfazed by having his intentions laid bare, responded calmly, "You don't have that privilege now, nor will you in the future. Maintain your self-awareness."
Blake let out a chuckle. “Mr. Ward, do you happen to know where Ms. Bennett is on her business trip?"
“Why? Are you unable to manage on your own and looking to me for information? You're not entitled to that," Caden replied in a flat tone.
Blake remained silent, not uttering a word.
He felt it was time to take his leave.
Once the call ended, Caden rubbed his temples in frustration.
He understood what Blake was trying to convey. Blake was eager to boast about his new position as a restoration specialist at the gallery.
It had been a month since that transition.
However, Blake and Alicia continued to treat each other with nothing more than professional courtesy, suggesting that their work was their sole focus.
Despite all of Blake's efforts, he failed to capture Alicia's attention in any meaningful way.
A few days later, Caden made his way back to Warrington.
When he visited Ciara, he discovered that Blake had accompanied Alicia on a business trip just the day before.
Caden felt a wave of displeasure wash over him. “Isn't it typically the responsibility of an assistant to accompany their boss on business trips?"
Ciara, relishing the unfolding drama, replied, “I told you, Blake is no ordinary man. If he can bring me so much happiness, don't you think that a simple task like joining her on a trip would be a piece of cake for him?"
She further fanned the flames by adding, “Alicia will be away for quite some time, and with Blake just a wall away at the hotel, who knows what might happen..."
Before she could finish her thought, Caden had already stormed out.
Rather than losing his composure and rushing to find Alicia, he returned to the office.
Hank, who was just about to leave for the day, was taken aback by Caden's unexpected presence. "Mr. Ward, are you really working overtime right after returning?"
Caden responded curtly, “You can leave on time."
Hank hesitated, clearly unsure. “It wouldn't be right to leave you here alone..."
"Then do something for me," Caden insisted.
Hank stood there, dumbfounded.
His expression twisted in confusion. "Mr. Ward, I..."
"Someone reached out to me a few days ago regarding the gallery issue. Do you remember? Get me the original documents."
Hank felt a surge of regret.
As he turned to exit Caden's office, he nearly felt the urge to slap himself for his earlier hesitations!
Caden glanced over the original documents Hank had handed him.
Now fully in work mode, Hank suggested, "Actually, this matter can be resolved quite easily. I can take care of it.”
But he froze mid-sentence as Caden suddenly began to remove his clothes.
When Caden removed his clothes, his facial expression did not reveal any signs of emotion or change. It was as if he had merely taken a casual sip of coffee, completely unfazed.
