Chapter: 761
Hank stared at him with a blank expression and asked, “Mr. Ward, could you please explain what you are doing?"
Caden busied himself with the documents, showing no inclination to look up from his task.
"Please leave my office and remember to close the door behind you as you exit," he commanded.
Hank found himself at a loss for words, utterly speechless.
Caden carefully placed the documents on his desk and quickly snapped a photo of them.
Afterward, he sent the image to Alicia without hesitation.
After a considerable amount of time had passed, Alicia finally noticed the message he had sent.
She became so engrossed in examining the image that she completely overlooked the reason for receiving his message. After all, she had taken the step to block him.
The picture displayed a document cover, which represented the exclusive authorization granted at the inception of the gallery's establishment.
Alicia was left puzzled as to why he chose to send her this particular image out of the blue.
She hesitated for a moment and chose not to respond.
A few minutes later, Caden texted her again, saying, "There seems to be a problem with the gallery's land."
Alicia's interest was piqued, and she quickly replied, “What seems to be the problem?"
Caden responded with, "I believe it is best if we discuss this in person."
Alicia found herself at a loss for words once more.
She was acutely aware of his intentions and decided against responding to him.
However, she did send someone to investigate the issue related to the gallery's land.
As expected, they discovered that there was indeed a problem.
When Caden had initially purchased the gallery, the land was highly coveted, and he had acquired it for a premium price.
He claimed to have paid extra, but the reality was that in doing so, he had made a number of enemies along the way.
Now, those whom he had offended were returning to settle the accounts.
Alicia was unable to determine who they were, but the mere fact that they were capable of sending documents to Caden suggested that they possessed a considerable amount of influence.
She found herself momentarily hesitating, caught in a moment of uncertainty.
Caden sent her another message, saying, “If you are busy with something, I can take care of it for you. It is really not a big deal."
Alicia disagreed with that notion entirely.
Given his skills, it truly was not a significant issue.
However, if she allowed him to assist her, it would only complicate their relationship further.
In fact, from the instant Caden sent the picture, Alicia had unwittingly played into his plans.
He was fully aware of what mattered most to her.
Ultimately, she conceded to his request and set a location for their meeting.
