Chapter: 767
Caden lowered his voice and said, “You care so deeply about the gallery. Why would I jeopardize your interests?"
Alicia instinctively shot back, “Isn't causing chaos exactly what you enjoy the most?"
Caden responded by echoing her own words, saying, “People can't always stay in the same place."
Alicia found herself utterly at a loss for words.
She couldn't help but want to know where Caden had acquired such wisdom.
It was hard for her to grasp that Caden was actually articulating something so insightful.
What began as a business discussion had transformed into a casual meal, creating an atmosphere thick with tension.
As the food was still not served, Caden continued to stare at her intently, blatantly.
Alicia pulled out her phone, pretending to be engrossed in something important.
Suddenly, Caden broke the silence by asking, "Did you take a good look at the picture I sent you earlier today?"
Alicia's tone remained cool as she responded, "I did."
“Did you observe anything in particular?" he inquired further.
Of course, Alicia had noticed quite a bit.
Caden had placed the file on the table, with his computer screen positioned right in front of him.
The reflection on the screen clearly showcased his well-defined abs.
It was painfully obvious.
The abs dominated two-thirds of the photograph, making it impossible for anyone, even those with poor eyesight, to overlook.
To be honest, Caden's action left Alicia stunned.
Alicia pursed her Lips and asked pointedly, “I'm more curious about why you're shirtless in the office. Is this some sort of perk for your female employees?"
Caden sat upright, his demeanor composed and unyielding, showing no hint of scheming.
"It became rather warm, so I decided to remove it," he explained.
Alicia's expression clearly communicated her skepticism, as if to say, "Do you honestly think I believe that?"
Caden shifted the focus back to their conversation, asking, "Do you find it appealing?”
Alicia rested her chin on her hand and replied, “In comparison to others, it certainly is a sight for sore eyes, but since I have touched it enough, seeing it in a photograph feels rather underwhelming."
Caden smiled, clearly amused.
She had managed to articulate both positive and negative sentiments in her response.
“How many months has it been since you last touched it?" Caden queried, leaning in slightly. “Do you miss it?"
Faced with such a provocative question, Alicia decisively interrupted, saying, “The food's coming, just shut up."
Caden's smile was knowing and self-assured.
He dedicated himself to his workouts, maintaining an impressive physique, with each muscle perfectly defined and both powerful and pleasing to the touch.
