Chapter: 875
Alicia said with a smile, "It's okay. I'll reach out to him later. You two can go ahead and rest."
The crew-cut bodyguard asked, “Shall I arrange a room for you then?"
Alicia waved him off and said, "No need."
"Then where will you stay?" he inquired.
The other bodyguard gave him a slight nudge and said, “Isn't it clear? Obviously, she'll be staying with Mr. Ward. They're a couple, after all!"
The crew-cut bodyguard quickly caught on and nodded.
He took Alicia's suitcase and headed to the room.
With Caden absent and dinner time approaching, Alicia felt no need to follow. She was eager to see him right away.
She called his number, and Caden answered promptly, “What's up?"
Alicia sensed from his tone that he hadn't checked her message.
He was likely so swamped that even taking a call was a struggle, let alone reading texts.
Holding back what she originally planned to say, she instead asked, "Nothing serious. Are you finished with work? Will you be coming home tomorrow?"
"Yes, I'll. Are you missing me?" he responded.
The backdrop of his call was noisy, filled with the sounds of clinking glasses and the lively chatter of men and women.
"Mr. Ward, who's keeping you on the line?" someone in the background asked.
Caden didn't reply to them. Instead, his voice became deeper and more enticing. “Do you miss me?"
Instinctively, Alicia bit her lip.
She held back her excitement, not wanting to disturb him. She whispered, “Continue with your work. We'll talk later."
Caden, not receiving the response he hoped for, ended the call without further questions.
As Alicia held her phone, a smile crept onto her face.
Even though she was the one making him anxious, here she was, the one with a flushed face and a heart racing.
As Alicia thought about Warrington's current predicament, her smile vanished, and she turned to locate the two bodyguards, weighed down by her thoughts.
They knew Caden's whereabouts.
She had to find him.
Meanwhile, Caden set his phone aside when a glass of whiskey slid towards him.
The lavish and seductive setting cast a shadow on his striking features, capturing the attention of nearly every woman there — their looks were bold, passionate, and admiring.
Opposite him, a man donned a floral shirt and sported a gold necklace as thick as a thumb, encircling his neck like a serpent.
Puffing on a cigar and flanked by two women, one hand on a chest and the other on a hip, he grinned at Caden and asked, “Was that a Lady on the phone, Mr. Ward? You seemed quite pleased just now."
With a smirk, Caden lifted the glass before him. "Only an exceptional woman can bring a smile to my face."
Marlon Finch burst into hearty laughter.
