Chapter: 1728
“Open the file inside."
Shayla had been reassured by Rachel's composed demeanor earlier, but upon receiving Rachel's instruction, she experienced a momentary delay in her response. She then accepted the USB drive and proceeded to open the file.
Inside was an Excel document that seemed newly created, appearing somewhat rushed as it didn't even have a file name assigned.
"What's this about?"
"Since you guys appear to have a liking for data, let's take a look at these statistics. These are summaries of more than a thousand experiment results from the beginning of the project up to the present." Rachel took a look at the screen.
"Klein's earlier presentation was just an overview, and it might not appear promising at first glance. However, when we break down the data trends for individual variables, it becomes evident that our experiments have indeed made significant progress. In this project, the radiation-based new drug has proven highly effective in treating Disease A.
Currently, Disease A..."
Rachel methodically walked through the data displayed on the screen.
Both Barnett and Shayla were in shock upon seeing what had just happened.
"Did she gather comprehensive data for each and every experiment? How did she manage that? Wasn't the data only sent to her this morning?"
"Either she had help, or she's extraordinarily capable. Didn't she just take over the project and know nothing about it Meanwhile, Klein maintained a furrowed brow throughout Rachel's entire presentation.
Outside the municipal conference center, a Maybach was parked along the side of the road.
Dewey lifted his hand to glance at his watch.
"Sir, the meeting has been in progress for nearly four hours now, and it's still ongoing.
The Health Bureau officials are tough negotiators."
"Indeed."
“sir, do you really think that Miss Bennet can convince them to grant approval for the project permit?"
Alberto raised his eyes and peered through the car window at the entrance of the building. His thoughts raced back to Rachel leaning over with her laptop, inquiring about the data, and the subtle aroma of her orange-scented perfume seemed to linger in his nose.
"Sir, they're exiting the building!" Just then, Dewey's voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Drive the car over there," Alberto instructed.
