Chapter: 1755
"Um... Hi!"

"Who is this?" Rosa could tell it wasn't Carson's voice.

"Hello, I'm the manager of Valmead Club." The manager swallowed his saliva hard.

"Mr. Carson Scott is here, and he's drunk. I checked his phone and saw your name on top of his contact list, so I took the liberty of calling you. Is it convenient for you to come and pick him up?"

Rosa hesitated for a moment. Then, the scene she had witnessed on the balcony before going to bed flashed in her mind.

Her eyes darkened.

"I'm sorry, you've called the wrong person."

The manager stole a glance at Carson, who had turned over in his sleep. He was afraid of what could happen when Carson woke up later, so he hurriedly replied, "No, I can't be wrong. Your number was marked as priority contact, so you must be important to him."

"Priority contact?"

"Yes, that's right. You are his priority contact."

Rosa fell silent, so the manager spoke again.

"Miss, how about this?

I will send you the room number. If it's convenient for you, maybe you can come and check on Mr. Scott. He is really drunk. I don't think he can wake up soon."

After saying this, the manager breathed a sigh of relief, feeling like he had accomplished an arduous task. He hung up the phone and quickly sent Rosa a text message, giving her the private room number where Carson was.

On the other side, Rosa opened the message from the manager. Her eyes slightly darkened when she read it.

Beside her, Maya turned over and instinctively reached out to clutch the quilt. She murmured in her sleep, “Mommy...”

Maya's voice brought Rosa back to her senses. She lowered her gaze and looked at Maya's face. She gently stroked Maya's head, her beautiful lips curved into a faint smile.

“Maya, what do you think? Should I go?"

As soon as she said those words, the manager's words just now echoed uncontrollably in her ears.

He said that Carson marked her phone number as a priority contact.

And Carson was very drunk tonight.

Rosa pursed her lips tightly. She didn't understand why he drank excessively tonight. He was supposed to be with Libby, right?

Rosa was lost in thought, pondering for a while. In the end, she realized she couldn't shake off her concern. So, she changed her clothes and walked out of her room.

She thought she should at least check on him, no matter what. After all, he was Maya's father.
