Chapter: 1795
Rachel quickly reached out to catch her.

“Maya! Maya!"

“Mommy, I'm here!" Maya quickly shouted when she heard Rosa's voice.

She seemed to have forgotten that Rachel was still holding her.

Rosa ran over in the direction where Maya's voice came from. As soon as she saw Maya, she bent down and hugged Maya tightly in her arms.

Maya's soft voice echoed in her ears. "Mommy..."

“Maya, how could you run out? I was so scared when I couldn't find you. Don't do it again, okay?" Rosa only went to the restroom very quickly. She was not worried because Maya usually just waited outside the cubicle obediently. But this time, she panicked when she couldn't see Maya outside.

And when she remembered Carson's words at noon, she felt scared. She worried that he might have sent someone to follow them and secretly take Maya away to hide her.

“I'm sorry, Mommy. The ball went missing. I looked for it." As Maya spoke, she showed the pendant on her small backpack to Rosa.

Originally, the backpack had a glass ball pendant attached to it. But at some point, it fell off, leaving only a small metal ring.

Maya noticed that the glass ball was missing, so she went to look for it. But she had gone far and couldn't remember where she had come from. She got so anxious that she started running.

“It's okay. I'll buy you a new one," Rosa assured Maya. She was relieved that Maya was safe. It was only then that she noticed Rachel, who had been standing there the whole time. She said with a smile, "Miss, thank you for helping my daughter."

Rachel studied Maya's striking features. Then she looked at Rosa again and asked, "Are you Rosa Moran?"

"You know me?" Rosa couldn't help but be wary when she heard Rachel say her full name accurately.

Rachel could discern the cautiousness in Rosa's gaze but didn't take offense. She smiled and said, "I recognize you. I overheard your name by chance."

Rosa eyed Rachel, unable to recall when they might have met.

Rachel introduced herself. “I go by the name Shelia Davis and I'm presently employed in the technology department of Sullivan Group. Mr. Carson Scott was once part of our department, and I came across your name while collaborating on a project with him."

"Did Carson talk about me with you?" Rosa inquired with suspicion.

"No, I simply happened to come across your name while talking to Mr. Scott." Rachel knew what Rosa was worried about. "You see, I work in the tech department, and my curiosity got the best of me. I couldn't resist looking up your name, so I have some knowledge about you.”

Rosa looked at her and remained silent. Her cautious gaze was unwavering and she held Maya's hand more firmly.

"Don't be concerned, Miss Moran. I'm not here on Mr. Scott's orders to keep an eye on you," Rachel assured her.

"Okay." Still, Rosa remained skeptical of the woman's claim. The words Carson had spoken earlier that day still echoed in her mind, prompting her to be extra cautious. “Whether you were sent by Carson or not, I'm genuinely grateful for your help with Maya. Thank you."

"It's my pleasure."

Rosa pursed her lips. “If there's nothing else, Maya and I will be leaving."
