Chapter: 643
"Looks like someone? Like who?"
"You know. Mr. Sullivan's ex-wife, Rachel Bennet."
"Rachel?" I've been working for the Sullivan Group for almost four years. Why haven't I heard of this name? I don't think I've seen her before."
“Because...she died four years ago."
"Oh dear...she's dead? Does Miss Salazar really look like the woman named Rachel?"
"Yes."
At this moment, the elevator doors closed. Only silence remained inside.
Susan's eyes narrowed as she clenched her fists. Her assistant noticed the change in her mood and tried to comfort her.
"Susan, they were just gossiping. Don't take it seriously."
Susan pursed her soft, pink lips and remained silent, but she was still visibly gloomy.
The assistant looked at her agent for help. Noticing her gaze, the agent immediately understood what she was thinking. All he could do was shake his head.
Everyone around Susan knew that her resemblance to Rachel was a thorn that had been buried deep in her heart for three years. Because of this, they had been avoiding the subject.
Even so, people would never stop comparing Susan to Rachel.
The atmosphere in the elevator froze. The agent and the assistant averted their gazes and almost held their breaths.
Ding.
The elevator came to a stop on the 33rd floor.
"You don't have to follow me. Both of you can wait in the car,"
Susan remarked, walking out of the elevator.
"Alright, Miss Salazar. Enjoy your time with Mr. Sullivan. Your favorite cake shop happens to have opened a new branch nearby. Since
I always hear you talking about it, I'll buy your favorite cake.
We'll be waiting in the car."
The elevator doors slowly closed after that.
Just then, the office door was also opened from the inside.
"Miss Salazar?" Ivan raised his head and was shocked to see Susan.
“Aren't you supposed to be home?"
