Chapter: 1588
Rodrigo's face lit up with warmth and kindness. "So, you're Sean's girlfriend? You're quite beautiful. Norah, I recognize you. You're the child from the Wilson family—a good girl indeed."
Rodrigo spoke naturally, his tone gentle, reminiscent of a grandparent having a _ heart-to-heart with family. This reminded Norah of her own grandfather, who was equally kind.
"Hello, Mr. Scott." Norah greeted with a smile. Since learning about this dinner, she had prepared to meet the members of the Scott family, having already become familiar with everyone in the household.
"Susanna said we know each other well, but looking at you now, I realize we haven't actually met before," Rodrigo said in confusion.
Susanna playfully stuck out her tongue. "I can't really explain this. It's up to Norah to tell you."
"Mr. Scott, although today is our first official meeting, we actually encountered each other a few years ago. I am the Supernatural Doctor, and Sean once brought me to treat you. So, we've met several times already," Norah explained.
"You are Supernatural Doctor?" Rodrigo, taken aback, was stunned by this revelation.
While confined to his bed, he often pondered whether the Supernatural Doctor was a man or a woman and was impressed by the feats they had accomplished at such a young age. He had: never imagined Norah was the very same doctor!
Norah nodded gracefully. "Yes, indeed. It was through treating you and Susanna that Sean and I grew closer."
"Ha, Grandpa, we even helped bring Sean and Norah together. Let me tell you, Norah is truly remarkable. Known as the Supernatural Doctor globally, she's also the esteemed Dr. Wilson in Glophia, highly regarded at Silver Boulder Private Hospital," Susanna exclaimed, her admiration for Norah clear.
Rodrigo's eyes sparkled with pride upon hearing Susanna's words, acknowledging Norah's excellence.
Seated on the sofa, Norah offered a gentle smile. She had become accustomed to Susanna's frequent praises.
Susanna and Joanna were her devoted supporters, always singing her praises at every opportunity.
Sean, holding Norah's hand, beamed with pride, clearly reveling in her accomplishments.
Rodrigo smiled, "Matteo mentioned the situation with Kayla. Thanks to you, they've safely returned. Norah, tonight's dinner is the Scott family's way of expressing our gratitude. Soon, our families should share a formal meal together. What do you think?"
Rodrigo, ever forward-thinking, contemplated the future of the young couple. As he aged, he envisioned a harmonious and thriving family, hoping to see the Scott Lineage prosper.
A blush tinged Norah's cheeks. "Sure, my parents also suggested we all dine together."
Matteo chimed in with a smile, "Kayla personally prepared a meal to thank Norah. You must try her cooking; we shouldn't let her efforts go unappreciated."
It was a rare occasion for the Scott family to enjoy Kayla's culinary talents. Her making such an effort was a testament to her high regard for Norah.
"Okay!" Norah beamed.
Rodrigo, having managed the expansive Scott family business, was knowledgeable and articulate, his presence adding warmth and joy to the living room.
Kayla peeked out from the kitchen with a smile before returning to her cooking.
She had started preparing the meal early. By the time the moon graced the sky, a table laden with enticing dishes awaited them.
Kayla removed her apron and sat down with a grin. "It's been some time since I last cooked, so I might be a bit rusty. If it's not up to par, please bear with it."
