Chapter: 1617
With his plan clear in his mind, Sean felt a rush of emotion upon seeing Norah. He approached, took her hand, and intertwined their fingers tightly.

Norah gave him a playful glance, teasing, "We were only apart for a moment. Why so clingy?"

But she couldn't deny that she enjoyed it. Keeping a slight distance seemed to fortify their connection.

Susanna, gripping Phillip's hand, led the way ahead. "I'm famished after the hot springs. Let's go eat first."

Alyssa concurred, "Yes, my stomach is definitely growling." Joanna quickly piped up, "Count me in."

As they conversed, the sun set in the west, elongating their shadows on the ground.

Meanwhile, at the Scott family residence, Matteo, clad in his formal wear, meticulously inspected the gift he had prepared before departing.

He had received an unexpected invitation from Waldo, so he chose a thoughtful gift and readied himself for the visit.

In the calligraphy community, Waldo was highly esteemed. Beyond his dedication to calligraphy, he had no other pursuits and had increasingly withdrawn from public view as he aged.

Matteo, a novice in calligraphy, had long regarded Waldo as a potential mentor.

Unexpectedly, through his future daughter-in-Law's connections, he now had the opportunity to meet Waldo.

Walde's residence was unassuming, featuring a quaint courtyard and a large tree that shaded a lounge chair.

Upon Matteo's arrival, Waldo was reclining on the chair, engrossed in a book. Beside him on a table were a teapot and cup, alongside a birdcage containing a black parrot.

"Hello," Waldo said, slowly rising and walking over to the table to set down his book. His tone was even. "Please, take a seat."

Dressed in a crisp white suit and with hair as white as snow, he exuded a composed yet vibrant aura.

Despite his engagements with Sacredice's personnel and encounters with many influential figures, Matteo maintained a respectful demeanor towards Waldo.

"Good day, Mr. Blake. My name is Matteo Scott. Here is a gift I've prepared for you. I hope you will accept it."

Waldo surveyed the gift box with a keen eye, which contained an assortment of meticulously selected fine writing instruments. It was evident that Matteo had shown considerable thoughtfulness.

"I know you. It was Norah who referred you to me," Waldo said with a smile.

Matteo, taken by surprise, recognized the significant regard Waldo held for Norah.

"Norah mentioned that you're interested in the calligraphy exhibition and would like to learn from me. Is that correct?"

Vigorously nodding, Matteo replied, "Yes, if it's an inconvenience, please feel free to turn down my request. Merely meeting you fulfills my expectations."

Waldo was a revered figure among calligraphy enthusiasts. Even brief guidance from him could significantly enhance one's skills. Matteo was eager to advance his skills.

"You certainly possess a sincere desire to learn from me." Waldo nodded approvingly. "Would you be willing to bring Norah along when you come to learn?"
