Chapter: 146
As Quintin's car vanished into the distance, he scrolled through the photos on his camera, pleased to find them sharp and revealing intimate exchanges.

His smile broadened. "Got it!" he exclaimed.

Moments later, the photos were on their way to Ashley's phone, complete with a bank account number and a subtle reminder for payment.

Ashley had recently had her cast removed and was visibly irritated.

The doctor had divulged too much to Alan, prompting her sharp rebuke, “Next time, keep what you shouldn't say to yourself!"

The doctor, annoyed by the confrontation, stormed off without another word.

Ashley, rolling her eyes, felt the annoyance linger. The injury was nothing more than a minor scrape-startling to look at but hardly serious.

After storing the prescribed ointment in her purse, Ashley checked her phone. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she viewed the photos.

Her mood lifted instantly, transforming her sullen expression to one of smirk.

With a crafty thought, she retrieved a second phone from her bag and selected the most provocative photos to send to Alan-choosing not to use her own number to avoid direct confrontation.

Returning the phone to her bag, Ashley didn't wait for a reply. She was certain these images would infuriate Alan. Smugly, she left the hospital.

Meanwhile, Kaitlin was quietly brooding over the earlier events at the hospital.

Quintin, sensing her distress, assisted her from the car and offered to accompany her upstairs.

She accepted without a word. As they stepped into the elevator, a hand suddenly halted the closing doors.

Alan entered with a thunderous frown, his expression darkening further at the sight of Quintin.

Quintin's eyebrow rose, his annoyance palpable. “Are you coming up or not? The elevator's about to start beeping.”

"Kaitlin, did he offer to give you a lift?" Alan's voice was icy, signaling his irritation.

Kaitlin instantly sensed his anger, yet she felt her own ire was more justified. “Why do you care? If you're not coming, move aside.”

Kaitlin gave Alan a shove and slammed the elevator button, sealing the doors.

Through the narrowing gap, she caught a glimpse of Alan's disappointed gaze.

"Was there a fight between you two?" Quintin asked.

Kaitlin remained silent, her breaths short and sharp with anger. This was no mere spat. She was seething.

"He's never been worthy of you," Quintin muttered, his lips curling into a sulk, tempted to share his feelings.

Yet, seeing Kaitlin's current state, he held back.
