Chapter: 185
“Why shouldn't I question it? I am Mr. Thomas's representative. It's your duty to adapt based on our feedback. This design is unsatisfactory and needs revision!"

"I'm tired of your constant criticism. I've tolerated enough." Nora finally burst out, her patience wearing thin. Rolling up her sleeves, she strode towards Whitney.

Kaitlin exhaled slowly, fighting to maintain her composure. "Everyone, please, let's stay calm. This is merely a preliminary draft; it's not set in stone. I can make the necessary changes."

Whitney's smirk widened as she interjected, "Not just changes. This draft is completely unacceptable. You need to start over completely!”

“I'm gonna rip your mouth off for that," Nora exploded, her colleagues barely restraining her.

If she were to actually throw a punch, the situation would spiral out of control, potentially ruining all their hard work.

Despite their frustration, they knew they had to restrain themselves.

Whitney, sensing their reluctance to retaliate, became even bolder.

Her goal, however, wasn't just to aggravate the staff. She wanted to dismantle Kaitlin's composed demeanor.

"Ms. Gilbert, what's your plan? Will you redo the design, or do I need to take this matter directly to Mr. Thomas?" Whitney challenged.

Kaitlin met her gaze. It was clear this wasn't a genuine critique but a deliberate provocation.

If she let this pass, working together in the future would only get harder.

She needed to protect her team's morale and couldn't keep sacrificing their efforts for no appreciation.

“Whitney, I get where you're coming from, but this is something I need to take up with Mr. Thomas directly," Kaitlin stated, rising to her feet and holding Whitney's gaze firmly.

“Besides, you're just Mr. Thomas’ secretary. It's not your place to challenge my work. Please, collect your belongings and leave the studio. I'll fill Mr. Thomas in myself."

Whitney was caught off guard by Kaitlin's blunt command, and in a burst of anger, she slammed her hand down on the table. "How can you just tell me to leave? Are you ready to lose this deal?" she retorted sharply.

Kaitlin met her gaze steadily. "The fate of this deal doesn't hang on the word of a secretary. If you keep causing trouble, I'll have security remove you."

Kaitlin had no desire to prolong the argument. With those final words, she exited the conference room.

Whitney attempted to follow and reignite the confrontation, but the designers blocked her path.

Nora faced her with a steely look. “What are you trying to pull? Didn't you hear Kaitlin? Get out right now! We'll stand by Kaitlin, deal or no deal."

"Yeah, do you really think we're pushovers here at Oasis Studio?" another designer chimed in.

Whitney shot Nora a fierce glare. “You're going to regret this! Just wait and see!"

“Enough already! Only a coward would regret standing up to you. We're all fed up!"

With that, Whitney was practically pushed out of the conference room.
