Chapter: 200
Lilliana sneered, "You haven't heard, have you? Alan and Ashley have reconciled. He helped her deal with her ex-husband and even took her to his villa! Even if you're pregnant, you're just a pawn. Alan only cares about my sister."
Kaitlin rolled her eyes, exasperated by the same old spiel. She was beyond tired of their games. "Lilliana, pulling the same stunt again, are we?"
Lilliana paused, then scowled. "You don't believe me? Ask Alan yourself and see if it's true! Kaitlin, you're awfully confident, aren't you?"
Seeing Lilliana's furious expression, Kaitlin felt a surge of satisfaction.
She had long seen through the sisters’ schemes. It was all about exploiting Alan's sympathy.
"Lilliana, go tell Ashley to behave. With just one word, I can have Alan kick her out of Osewood. And this ex-husband? Did you hire an actor?" Kaitlin smirked. "All these antics just show how pathetic you two are."
Lilliana's face contorted with rage, her body trembling.
Instead of upsetting Kaitlin, she found herself ridiculed. “You! Bitch!"
Lilliana's eyes blazed with anger, her jealousy pushing her to the brink of slapping Kaitlin.
Kaitlin took a step back. Her pregnant state was the only thing that prevented her from teaching Lilliana a lesson herself.
"Stop this nonsense!" Quintin's voice thundered as he burst into the office. He grabbed Lilliana by the arm, yanking her to her feet. "Do you even realize where you are? How dare you raise your hand against Kaitlin?"
With that, he shoved her aside and whipped out his phone to dial the police.
“What are you doing? Why call the police on me?" Lilliana lunged at him in fury, but Quintin repelled her effortlessly.
“Keep your distance. You're despicable."
Their altercation didn't go unnoticed. The office buzzed with the stir it caused, drawing Phoebe into the fray.
She positioned herself between Kaitlin and Lilliana, her voice firm.
"Lilliana, this is unacceptable! Attacking someone here, of all places? Have you lost all respect for the law? Kaitlin, are you okay?"
Kaitlin merely nodded her head, her demeanor unruffled.
"Let's just leave this to the police," she suggested quietly.
"Don't worry, I'll secure the security footage and enlist a top-notch attorney. Lilliana, you might just find yourself behind bars," Phoebe said.
Shock registered on Lilliana's face; she was only the bearer of a message, yet now she faced the prospect of imprisonment.
“Stop trying to intimidate me! I haven't laid a finger on Kaitlin! But you-you manhandled me. I'll sue you for harassment!"
Despite her threats, Lilliana's words fell on deaf ears.
Quintin, dismissive, simply stood guard in front of Kaitlin, blocking any further outbursts from Lilliana.
