Chapter: 275
“Thank you, Mr. Murphy. My team will have a new dress sent over shortly," Alan said curtly.

With that, he moved towards the door and opened it for Shawn. "Mr. Murphy, please, there are many guests awaiting your presence," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Shawn's expression soured.

His plans to play the hero were thwarted by Alan's intervention.

"Kaitlin, I'll step out," Shawn announced.

Kaitlyn nodded. After Shawn left, she finally turned to Alan. "Where were you?" she asked, her annoyance barely veiled.

"I had to take a phone call," Alan responded.

With the lounge door shut, he approached Kaitlin, eyeing her thoughtfully.

“Don't worry. It's just a wine spill," Kaitlyn said casually. “But your disdain for Shawn was rather conspicuous."

“I was as polite as I could be," Alan sneered.

Kaitlyn shot him a reproachful look and chose to remain silent.

Ten minutes later, Dylan arrived with a new dress.

“Change your clothes. I'll wait outside," Alan said, turning to leave.

"Okay." Kaitlin nodded.

Once she emerged from the lounge in her new dress, she noticed Alan's mood had darkened.

“What's wrong?" she asked.

"Kaitlin, wait here for me. I just got to know Owen is nearby. I need to handle this," he said grimly.

Anxiety flickered across Kaitlin's face as she clutched at Alan's arm.

“Don't go. Last time you tried to handle it alone, and it didn't work. Why not call the police this time?" she suggested, her voice tinged with desperation.

Alan pondered briefly before nodding in agreement. "Okay, wait here," he instructed Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn didn't object. Releasing Alan's arm, she returned to the lounge.

Alan's men stood guard at the door to ensure her safety.

The hotel extended above the reception area. Dylan approached with urgent news that Owen had entered one of the rooms.

"Mr. Hewitt, what should we do now?" Dylan asked.
