Chapter: 287
Pondering this, Miguel decided to investigate Shawn.
Meanwhile, at Oasis Studio, Kaitlyn had returned from a brief hiatus.
She had decided to take a couple of days off to rest after her prenatal check-up.
Phoebe pulled out the recent orders, her face lighting up with excitement. "Kaitlin, since the last celebration banquet, your reputation has really soared. Just look at these orders; they are as much as we had over the past two months combined."
“Really?” Kaitlin said as she began to browse through them.
"Don't you believe it? Well, no need to worry. Your designs are fetching a higher price now. Unless they pay more, let our staff handle these orders." Phoebe leaned in and gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
“How have you been these Last couple of days? You just need to take care of yourself and your baby."
"I'm fine, really. But with all these orders, do you think you can manage them?" Kaitlin's focus was clearly on her work.
“Don't worry. We've already arranged things when we signed those orders. We'll need to postpone some of them and have the clients wait a little while. The clients assured us they are willing to wait as long as necessary."
Kaitlin let out a sigh of relief at that. "But we should still try to get them done quickly."
“Don't worry. I'm keeping an eye on everything."
Kaitlin nodded, though she still seemed concerned. "Maybe I should take on some of the more critical orders? It might speed things up."
Phoebe sighed, a mix of frustration and compassion in her voice.
“Kaitlin, you've got bigger fish to fry. While you were resting these past days, invitations to various events flooded in. I've sorted through them for you. This one looks particularly promising."
Kaitlin smiled as she took the invitation. "The judge of the Estresa Element Design Competition? Sounds interesting."
"Yes, do you want to go? I didn't accept right away; I told them you'd think it over."
Kaitlin nodded in agreement. "Yes, I do."
Judging didn't require much energy, and she felt she could handle it.
Plus, serving as a judge in a design competition would certainly enhance the Oasis Studio's reputation.
“I thought you'd agree. Here's the business card. You can reach out on your own. I need to head out now," Phoebe said.
Kaitlin pulled out her phone and called the organizers. "Hello, this is Kaitlin Gilbert."
The man on the other end sounded delighted. "Ms. Gilbert, I'm thrilled to get your call. Have you decided to join us as a judge?"
Kaitlin got straight to the point. "I'd be honored."
"That's wonderful. The contest is next week. You're available starting this weekend, correct?"
