Chapter: 328
Minutes later, the documents were laid before Ashley. She opened them but noticed nothing amiss.
The document had been altered by Miguel, but it was done so subtly that no one else could tell.
He didn't go into detail but simply tapped on the table.
“Hand this over to Shawn. It might not make sense to you. Just remember, Shawn's entire family was killed by Alan's parents."
Ashley looked surprised. “So... That's why Shawn is probing into this project?"
Miguel responded, "Just deliver the document to him. Don't worry about the rest."
"T see,"
"Also, from now on, don't just drop by. If you need something, call me. I prefer not to be disturbed."
Ashley picked up the document and nodded repeatedly.
She was secretly thrilled that she wouldn't have to deal with this moody cripple much longer.
“Miguel, I'll be on my way now."
Two days after Kaitlin chose to linger a bit longer in Estresa, she crossed paths with Denton once more.
At that moment, she and Alan were seated for breakfast at the hotel's dining area.
Denton approached with a smile and took a seat next to them without waiting for an invitation.
Alan's expression immediately turned sour.
Oblivious to Alan's growing irritation, Denton chatted with Kaitlin.
"What a surprise to see you here! Kaitlin, Mr. Hewitt, haven't you headed back to Osewood yet?" he said.
She responded with a nod, “Yes, it's a rare opportunity for me to unwind."
Denton's enthusiasm didn't wane. "The views here in Estresa are spectacular. If you're looking to explore, I'd be happy to show you around."
“Really? Do you even have the time? I'd imagine your company keeps you pretty busy," Kaitlin teased, a light chuckle escaping her Lips as they engaged in a Lively chat.
"It's no trouble at all. I can make time whenever you need."
After a brief moment, Alan's frown caught Kaitlin's attention, and he sensed the tension.
She thought to herself that the usually jealous Alan might soon Lose his cool.
“Surely, Mr. Gilbert, you've got plans with friends today, haven't you?" she said.
