Chapter: 330
Kaitlin's frustration grew when he didn't reply.
They returned to their room one after the other. As soon as Kaitlin walked in, she started packing.
There were plenty of flights from Estresa to Osewood. She could leave anytime.
Alan watched her for a moment, then approached. "Kaitlin, are you really going to leave just like this?"
Kaitlin didn't stop packing, and she didn't reply, continuing as if she had no interest in speaking with him.
With a troubled look, Alan stepped closer and stopped her actions by pulling her up. "Are you upset, Kaitlin?"
Kaitlin scoffed and gave him a mocking glance. "Why would I be upset?"
"Don't speak to me that way.”
“So, how should I speak? Should I apologize, promise never to talk to other men again?" Kaitlin's expression was one of annoyance as she spoke.
"Alan, I am my own person. Your jealousy shows your narrow-mindedness. You need to ask yourself why you act this way. Is it because you lack trust in me, or are you just being selfish?"
The tension in the room intensified, making the atmosphere quite chilly. Both of their expressions darkened.
Kaitlin turned away and snapped the suitcase shut. "I think we should take some time to calm down."
She was pulling her suitcase and getting ready to leave when Alan, with hesitation, stopped her.
“Is this why you're hesitant to remarry me?" he asked.
Kaitlin arched her eyebrows. Why was he suddenly bringing up remarriage?
“Kaitlin, aren't you considering remarrying me?"
A look of disappointment flickered in Alan's eyes, but Kaitlin turned away and left without a word.
Their stay in Estresa had been filled with fights, often about Denton.
This time, Marcia's actions had made Alan even more aggressive towards Denton.
Kaitlin had expected a heated argument with Alan during this trip.
She emerged from the hotel and took a taxi to the airport.
It would be better for them to calm down. Kaitlin felt that she shouldn't be treated as someone's property. Alan's overwhelming possessiveness was only pushing her away.
As they argued and felt upset, Ashley had just met Shawn.
They had arranged to meet in a coffee shop, which had a refined atmosphere.
