Chapter: 353
After Judy said this, an awkward silence fell over the room.

It wasn't that Denton doubted Kaitlin, but with both parties firm in their stance and no proof, it was hard to tell who was right.

Alan laughed and chimed in, "Drafts don't just vanish into thin air. Kaitlin, aren't your drafts marked?"

Alan's comment was spot on.

"Marked. Every draft bears the designer's signature. It can't be faked," Judy answered immediately.

Hearing this, Kaitlin picked up the drafts and began examining Nora's drafts first.

Kaitlin was well-acquainted with Nora and could easily recognize her signature and handwriting.

Upon closer inspection of the document, Kaitlin sensed something amiss. "The signature appears to be engraved, not personally signed," she said, narrowing her eyes.

She handed the document to Denton. “Denton, please take a look."

Denton's expression shifted as he examined it.

It was true.

Judy peered over their shoulders to have a look. "Yes, it's definitely engraved. The craftsmanship is excellent, but it's clear it wasn't hand-signed," she said. Turning to Kaitlin, she added, "After receiving the original drafts from Phoebe, I passed them to Mr. Gilbert's assistant. The drafts haven't been swapped."

Judy's words caused Denton's expression to darken.

Wanting to avoid causing Denton further embarrassment, Kaitlin proposed an alternative. “Let's review the surveillance footage to confirm whether the drafts were swapped. It'll give us some clarity," she suggested.

Denton nodded. “Let's go to my office.”

“Okay," Kaitlin agreed, following him.

A few minutes later, Denton retrieved the surveillance video.

The footage showed Judy entering the room and handing a file to Mara.

They conversed briefly before Judy left.

Afterward, Mara returned to her desk with the file, setting it aside without examining it.

ALL eyes were glued to the screen.

Suddenly, Mara stood, took a sip of water, and turned her back to the monitor.

Moments later, she left with her bag.

The file on the desk appeared untouched, yet something seemed amiss.
