Chapter: 360
Gathering the general bidding amount seemed feasible.

With that in mind, Ashley headed back to the office.

Three days remained until the second round of bidding.

The final amount wouldn't be set until the last moment.

Considering this, Ashley felt less anxious. Instead, she began to search online for the limited-edition handbag.

If she could acquire and resell it, she stood to make a substantial profit.

The expense of dealing with Mara paled in comparison; it was merely a drop in the ocean.

As the three days passed, Ashley went to the project director's office to secure the final bid number for Hewitt Group.

"What do you need?"

"I need to stop by the CEO's office. Do you have any documents for me to deliver?"

The director gestured dismissively and said, "No, thanks. I'll head over there myself later."

"Alan has been quite concerned about the Royal Garden Road project lately. Are you confident in the proposal you've submitted?" Ashley said, raising an eyebrow.

The director looked taken aback, his eyes briefly revealing his surprise.

Did she know something he didn't?

"Ashley, are you..."

The project director began to ask something but then hesitated, pausing mid-sentence.

Ashley chuckled lightly. "I just wanted to remind you. After all, we didn't win the first round. This next one is very important."

Ashley paused, then lowered her voice. “If we fail again, I'm not sure you'll be able to hold onto your job."

The project director was taken aback. He had already considered this risk, prompting him to proceed with extra caution this time.

“Ashley, you're right. However, I can only provide an estimate. Mr. Hewitt will decide on the final budget himself."

Ashley wasn't surprised. Knowing the estimated figures would be enough for Shawn to make his guesses.

“What is that estimated figure?" Ashley asked.

The project director hesitated before subtly indicating the number three with his fingers.

“Really?”
