Chapter: 387
As Denton walked away, Alan's gaze lingered on his retreating figure until he was out of sight.
When Kaitlin reappeared, she found Alan Lost in thought.
She waved her hand in front of his face. "What's on your mind?"
"Nothing. Let's go home."
Later that evening, in a restaurant in Osewood.
Before slipping into the private room, Shawn cast a wary glance around to ensure no one was tailing him. Once confident, he entered the room swiftly.
On this occasion, Shawn emerged alone, without the company of his assistant.
Inside, the room was filled with a comforting fragrance of jasmine.
As Shawn walked in, the seated man lifted his gaze and rose to his feet.
"Good evening, Mr. Murphy."
Surveying the room, Shawn returned the greeting with a smile.
"Good evening, Mr. Garza."
They extended their hands, exchanged a firm handshake, and took their seats.
Once seated, Shawn wasted no time on pleasantries, speaking in a hushed tone.
“Your presence here tonight suggests you're ready to cooperate, am I right, Mr. Garza?"
Cade Garza didn't reply immediately, his smile laden with implications.
"Mr. Murphy, you've approached me privately before the bidding results are announced. That's against protocol. The Hewitt Group is watching me closely. What exactly are you hoping for, Mr. Murphy?"
Shawn, with a slight smirk, acknowledged the underlying message.
The man was looking for benefits, something Shawn had anticipated.
“Mr. Garza, I understand your daughter is looking to study abroad but hasn't secured a school yet. We have strong connections overseas. I can arrange a letter of introduction for her."
Shawn's words were cryptic. The letter wasn't just a casual correspondence; it was a significant investment in the school, and the sum was substantial.
Upon hearing this, Cade was taken aback momentarily, then his face lit up with joy. "You're serious, Mr. Murphy?"
"Absolutely. Your daughter will be able to attend her school of choice and access the best resources available. This assurance comes directly from our company. Does this meet your expectations?"
Cade extended his hand for a handshake. “Mr. Murphy, I trust this arrangement will be mutually beneficial."
