Chapter: 418
Before he could finish, Kaitlin placed her hand over his mouth.
"I came to discuss it with you. The jewelry show is a major event, and I'm worried Phoebe can't manage alone. Besides, it's such a lively occasion. I don't want to miss out," Kaitlin explained.
Her soft voice carried a childlike plea.
Alan frowned, his reluctance evident.
He knew Kaitlin well. She poured all her energy into her work, but it wasn't beneficial for her health to exert herself so strenuously.
Seeing his hesitation, Kaitlin gently shook his arm.
“I won't overdo it. I'll just provide some guidance at the studio and won't take on everything myself." Her eyes were hopeful as she promised.
"Really?" Alan asked, eyebrows raised.
Kaitlin nodded firmly. "It's settled then. Feel free to check on me anytime, Mr. Hewitt," she said teasingly.
At this, Alan smiled and conceded.
"Do you need any assistance from the Hewitt Group for the jewelry show?" he asked.
"Not yet." Kaitlin waved dismissively. "I'll let you know if I do."
"Okay," Alan responded, satisfied.
Kaitlin only learned of Ashley's termination after she had left the office.
Reflecting on their recent encounter, she felt somewhat pleased.
She didn't probe further. Instead, she returned to her studio in high spirits, ready to prepare for the upcoming jewelry show.
Shortly after, Denton reached out, eager to propose a collaboration.
Denton's enthusiasm was palpable on the call, and he had nearly everything planned out in advance.
He just needed a go-ahead from Kaitlyn.
"Mr. Gilbert, given your thorough preparations, I see no reason to delay. I'll sign the contract later. We'll proceed as Gilbert Jewelry proposes," Kaitlin said.
“Excellent, Kaitlin. You can leave the details of this collaboration to my team. Everything will proceed without a hitch. Don't worry,”
Denton assured her.
After discussing business specifics, Denton steered the conversation toward personal topics.
“Kaitlin, how have you been holding up? I recall Mr. Hewitt was concerned about your workload," he asked.
